Gardenia jasminoides "White Sanko Variegated" is an evergreen shrub with green and white leaves the "sanko" type variegation. Gardenia jasminoides "White Sanko Variegated" is a very unusual gardenia we received from Japon - the variegation is difficult to describe - not really margined variegation, not really splashed - I guess the term "sanko" is best. Gardenia jasminoides "White Sanko Variegated" is RARE and I've never seen in before the in USA. It appears to be very fast growing (at least in containers) and produces single, white, fragrant flowers during the summer. For those collectors of odd variegated plants - this one needs to be in your collection! Gardenia jasminoides "White Sanko Variegated" is uniquely different from any other variegated gardenia I've seen (we have a fairly large collection of variegated gardenias) and will stand out in your garden where it can be used in mass plantings or as a specimen. Be sure to plant near a walkway or your house so you can enjoy the extremely fragrant flowers in the summer.
