Gardenia radicans "variegated with double flowers" is a low growing shrub with green leaves broadly margined white and semi double to double white flowers in the summer. Gardenia radicans "variegated with double flowers" was giving to me many years ago and was originally found in Japan and did not have a cultivar name. Gardenia radicans "variegated with double flowers" is an extremely low growing Gardenia and will likely never get over 12 inches tall and a 3-4 foot spread and has made a stunning mass planting in our garden and can be used as a specimen but is probably best in a mass planting where a low growing, evergreen, flowering shrub is needed. Gardenia radicans "variegated with double flowers" grows well in part shade to nearly full sun (maybe a little shade in hotter climates) and blooms with semi double to double, white, extremely fragrant, flowers throughout the summer.
