Hedychium garnerianum is a ginger with green leaves, pale yellow, fragrant flowers in Autumn. Hedychium garnerianum is one of my favorite gingers due to its late flowering (no other gingers in our garden bloom as late), very thick stems (it doesn't fall over like many other gingers), its stunning pale yellow, extremely fragrant flowers that open in mass on each stem and very dark green leaves. Truly a stunning addition to the garden Hedychium gardnerianum would be stunning in a large mass (it is a slowly running clump) or could be used as a specimen as well. These are seed grown plants and we are seeing a little variation in growth habit and leaf color Not expecting much color variation in the flowers, but we don't yet know. Probably best to keep inside a greenhouse or warm garage this winter and plant in the ground in the Spring unless you live in a very mild winter climate area.
