Hemerocallis "Secured Borders Sport"- EXCLUSIVE NEW RELEASE, GARDEN TREASURES INTRODUCTION

Hemerocallis "Secured Borders Sport" (daylily) has short stalks of yellow flowers and green leaves broadly margined with creamy white (slowly fading to green by summer).  Hemerocallis "Secured Borders Sport" is a NEW AND EXCLUSIVE Garden Treasures introduction.  Years ago, we planted a large drift of Hemerocallis 'Secured Borders' in our garden and sadly found it to be very unstable.  We had to dig every clump up yearly and divide out all the solid green shoots.  After several years of doing this, we got tired of digging them up and within two years they were all green EXCEPT for one clump that NEVER produced green reversions and held its color later into the season (it does turn solid green by midsummer)!  We have now been growing this selection for several years and have seen no sign of reversions.  We are excited to finally have enough stock to release.  Hemerocallis "Secured Borders Sport" is slightly slower than the original cultivar.  Stunning when planted in mass or as a specimen.
