Hydrangea quercifolia 'Little Honey' (oak leaf hydrangea) is a semi evergreen to deciduous shrub with large golden leaves and clusters of white flowers.  Hydrangea quercifolia 'Little Honey' is a stunning, compact oak leaf hydrangea with beautiful golden leaves with clusters of white flowers starting in spring and effective for many months. Hydrangea quercifolia 'Little Honey' is semi evergreen in warm climates and deciduous in colder areas. The fall color on  Hydrangea quercifolia 'Little Honey' goes through an amazing array of golds, yellows, coppers, rusts, and rose, and is effective for a long time. The large golden leaves of Hydrangea quercifolia 'Little Honey' make a dramatic statement in a semi shaded woodland garden.  Hydrangea quercifolia 'Little Honey' responds very strongly to the amount of sunlight it receives - in too much sun, it turns a whitish yellow color (not pleasant) and in heavy shade, it is a pale green.  In the goldilocks sunlight zone in your garden, it will be a beacon of bright gold.  Hydrangea quercifolia 'Little Honey' can be used in mass plantings or as a specimen to  bring a bright touch of gold to your  woodland garden.
