Ilex opaca 'Golden Knight'

Ilex opaca 'Golden Knight' is a large growing, evergreen tree with golden colored, spiny leaves.  Ilex opaca 'Golden Knight' is a beautiful, bright gold colored American Holly that will grow to 30' or more with an upright, conical growth habit.  Ilex opaca 'Golden Knight' is a male holly, so will not produce berries, but it will be an excellent pollinator for many other female hollies in the area.  Color is best on Ilex opaca 'Golden Knight' if grown in full sun - color will fade to pale green in the shade.  Very slow to produce and extremely limited.
