Metasequoia glyptostroboides 'Hamlet's Broom'

Metasequoia glyptostroboides 'Hamlet's Broom' is a slow growing deciduous conifer with green leaves, changing to coppery tones in the Fall.  Metasequoia glyptostroboides 'Hamlet's Broom' is a dwarf that has a compact growth habit.  When young, Metasequoia glyptostroboides 'Hamlet's Broom' forms a small, mounded shrub  and with age becomes more upright but maintains its dwarf habit.  Metasequoia glyptostroboides 'Hamlet's Broom' can be used in mass plantings, lakeside plantings, as a specimen, or in a mixed conifer garden.  Metasequoia glyptostroboides 'Hamlet's Broom' will tolerate a wide range of soil types but grows best in average to good garden soil with constant moisture and can be grown in areas that flood periodically.
