Osmanthus fragrans 'Ogon'

Osmanthus fragrans 'Ogon' (fragrant tea olive, tea olive, fragrant osmanthus) is a large, evergreen shrub with fragrant white flowers and brilliantly colored (yellow/ivory) new growth.  Osmanthus fragrans 'Ogon' is one of the most brilliantly colored fragrant osmanthus I've ever seen (Osmanthus fragrans 'Quinnan Guifei' is equally as bright but with white/pink new growth)!  In our filtered shade production area, the new growth is a soft butter yellow/ivory with pink tones (pictures below are from plants grown in filtered shade).  In more sun it is much brighter yellow.  Osmanthus fragrans 'Ogon' is stunning as a mass planting, hedge or as a specimen. Sunnier locations will intensify the new foliage color (fades to green later in the year).  Osmanthus fragrans 'Ogon' is RARE and seldom available and we are very excited to finally have a few to share with our gardening friends.
