Rhododendron (azalea) 'Midnight Flare'

Rhododendron 'Midnight Flare' is an evergreen shrub with very dark red flowers in spring.  Rhododendron 'Midnight Flare' is the darkest, most intense red azalea we know of.  We grow very few azaleas, and the few we grow are unique.  Rhododendron 'Midnight Flare' certainly fits this bill for being unique with its intensely dark red flowers - it stands out from the crowd!  Rhododendron 'Midnight Flare' is great in a bright woodland garden and in full sun (foliage might burn a little in summer heat) and like other rhododendrons, performs best in average, well drained (but not too dry) soil.  Rhododendron 'Midnight Flare' is stunning in mass plantings, as a specimen, or can be mixed with other woodland plants to add a pop of intense color
