Sycopsis sinensis 'PsyOps' (Chinese fighazel) is an evergreen shrub or small tree with extremely narrow, dark green leaves and witch hazel like pale yellow flowers in the spring.  Sycopsis sinensis 'PsyOps' was found and introduced into the USA by the J C Raulston Arboretum director Mark Weathington and was selected due its extremely narrow leaves.  For us, Sycopsis sinensis 'PsyOps' has been fast growing and makes a nice specimen quickly and can be used as a large spreading shrub or would be stunning if limbed up to make a small tree.  Sycopsis sinensis 'PsyOps' creates a very airy feel in the garden with its narrow, willowy leaves and is a great addition to our evergreen plant pallet.
